Who Says Bright Colors Aren't for Fall?

2018 Fall Fashion Trends

on-trend women's fall outfits

Most of the time I can't wait to wear the typical fall colors...olive green, burnt orange, deep burgundy...oh how these colors make my heart flutter and instantly think of fall!!  But, every now and then I get an urge to break free from these traditional colors and bring some bright colors into my fall wardrobe.  I've always loved wearing bright colors, I feel like they give off such a happy and feminine vibe.  And I promise you're going to be seeing a lot of these bright colors in the Meg & Marie Spring 2018 clothing!  But, why wait until then!?

Even though this outfit has pops of bright colors, I still feel like it's a great outfit for fall.  If you balance pops of color with neutrals, like casual jeans and leopard print (a neutral in my eyes!), then you should be good to go!  When I saw this pink sweater I knew I had to have it.  It's such a beautiful shade of pink and I love the cute ruffles on the shoulders.  I have such a hard time finding jeans that I love, but then again who doesn't?  Most of the time I live in leggings, but every now and then I'll throw on some jeans.  I got an amazing deal on these jeans, but it looks like they don't make the distressed version anymore.  They do make the same style and fit in a different colorThe material is very stretchy and soft, which is nice!

The accessories are what really make this outfit fun!  I have been searching for the perfect pair of leopard booties this year and these were the winners.  My husband hates anything leopard (what's wrong with him?), but clearly I don't let that influence my fashion choices!  I really splurged on these shoes, but in my opinion they were totally worth it :)  The website says that they run small and to order a size up, but don't make that mistake (I did and had to exchange them); these run true to size.  Now, I know not everyone likes a heel (or a price tag) quite so high, so I found these equally as cute leopard booties for half the price!  Unfortunately, my kelly green Michael Kors purse is no longer available, but if you're looking for a new purse this olive green tote would be perfect for fall and is currently on sale!

What are your opinions about pops of bright colors in fall fashion?  And are you currently as obsessed with leopard print as I am?  Or do you think I'm crazy for considering it a neutral like my husband does?  Let us know in the comments section below!

  • Eva,

Thank you so much for your comment and question! The sweater does run true to size. I don’t like my sweaters to be too snug and I typically wear either a small or medium. I’m wearing a small in this sweater and it was still loose enough for me to be comfortable in. Also, the color is even prettier in person :)

Thanks for reading our blog & have a great day!!

  • Meg – I, too am in love with that PINK sweater, can you tell me does it run true to size — looking at the size chart and wasn’t sure to order up or not ?? It looks adorable on you btw ;) !!

    Thanks so much!
