Hey friends! I'm picking up on day four of our Nashville trip from last week. If you missed the recap of the first half of our trip you should check it out to read about my favorite neighborhood in the area, some great food, and my favorite clothing store in Nashville.
Day Four: The Ryman Auditorium and The Bluebird Cafe
Tuesday was our last full day of vacation and we packed it with activities. First, we ate lunch at The Grilled Cheeserie, which was amazing! You can choose a specialty sandwich, or create your own choosing your bread, meat, cheese, etc. I mean, who doesn’t love a great grilled cheese sandwich! Then, we walked around and explored The Gulch neighborhood. It has some more shops, restaurants, etc. It also has the angel WhatLiftsYou wings mural that many people take pictures with. We didn't have the patience to wait in line and get a picture here, but it's definitely a cool spot.
After this, we headed downtown to tour the Ryman Auditorium. We did the self-guided tour and spent close to an hour exploring the building and its history, which was really neat. Next, we ate an early dinner at Puckett’s Grocery & Restaurant. I had eaten at Puckett’s the first time I visited Nashville and loved it, so I knew I wanted to go again. It has the traditional southern food and live music and was just as delicious as I remembered!
After dinner we had reservations for the Bluebird Cafe. As I’m sure many of you have done or still do, I watch the show Nashville and have been dying to go to the Bluebird Cafe ever since I started the series. It was just as I had imagined it would be and our show featured four artists. My two favorites were Elise Davis (pictured) and Elise Hayes, they were both great! The Bluebird was probably my favorite experience of the trip and I would definitely recommend going to a show if you visit the city.
Morning Five: Five Daughters Bakery
We knew we had to squeeze in one last stop before leaving Nashville and that was a visit to Five Daughters Bakery! We came across the bakery in the 12 South neighborhood and it is so adorable, I just had to go inside. That’s when I experienced my first ever cronut (½ croissant ½ donut) and my life was forever changed! I know, I’m a little behind on the cronut trend, but again, I live in Central IL where Krispy Kreme is a luxury. The cronuts were so delicious we bought a dozen to share with our family back home!
Overall, it was a wonderful trip! Thank you to everyone in our Facebook VIP Group for your recommendations, they were very helpful! I received many compliments on my Meg & Marie clothing during our Nashville trip, so if you're looking for any of these products, I've linked them here:
Also, if you’ve been to Nashville and have recommendations beyond these please share them in the comments below. I’d love to hear more in case we ever return!
